Bell's Office Arson Suspect Sentenced to Prison

TILLAMOOK — On June 6, 2006, Edward Arthur Rust was arrested for Arson in the First Degree and Burglary in the Second Degree.

At about 4:42 am, a fire was reported at Bell's Office Supply. A subject, matching Rust's description, walked into the Jiffy Mart (now Center Market) on Main Street and was bleeding. A trail of blood was seen from Bell's Office Supply past US Bank towards Jiffy Mart. Rust was treated and the Hospital and booked into Jail.

On November 28, 2006, Rust pled Guilty to Arson in the First Degree and was sentenced to 65 months in Prison.

Rust also pled guilty to Assault on a Public Safety Officer (Jail Deputy) and sentenced to an additional 14 months in Prison.
