Double Fatal Traffic Crash - Highway 6 east of Tillamook
09/26/2005
Sergeant Lane Hendrickson
Oregon State Police - Tillamook
Office: (503) 842-2899
Two Portland-area women died Sunday evening when a pickup crashed head-on with their compact car on
Highway 6 about eighteen miles east of Tillamook. After the initial impact, an eastbound motor home
was unable to avoid being struck by one of the other vehicles ejecting two 15-year old girls from
the motor home. A total of seven other people were injured and transported for treatment.
On September 25, 2005, at approximately 6:30 p.m., a motor vehicle crash involving three vehicles
occurred on Highway 6 (Wilson River Highway) near milepost 18 in Tillamook County. Preliminary
investigation indicates a 2001 Ford F250 pickup operated by BRENTON JACOB, age 18, from Tillamook,
was westbound on Highway 6 when he crashed head on with an eastbound 1990 Geo Prism. A third vehicle,
a 1988 Free Style motor home following behind the Geo Prism was also involved in the crash.
The two occupants of the Geo Prism were deceased at the scene. They are identified as the driver,
EMILY DORAN, age 23, from Portland, and the passegner, EMILY RICHARDSON, age 23, also from Portland.
Both were using safety restraints.
The 1988 Free Style motor home was operated by LAWRENCE PULLEN, age 45, from Sandy. Passengers
included RICHARD PULLEN, age 42, from Sandy; NICOLE PULLEN, age 15, from Sandy; TRENNA SIEWELL,
age 24, from Sandy; RACHEL MOODY, 15, from Sandy; and, NATALIN ALGECIRIS, age 15, from Rhododendron.
NATALIN ALGECIRIS and NICOLE PULLEN were believed to be in the bed area located above the front
seats of the motor home and were ejected.
The occupants from the motor home and Ford P/U were taken to Tillamook County General Hospital.
ALGECIRIS was taken by LifeFlight to Emanuel Hospital in Portland with serious injuries. NICOLE
PULLEN and TRENNA SIEWELL were transported by ambulance to Emanuel Hospital with serious injuries.
None had life threatening injuries.
The crash is still under investigation. Alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor.
The Oregon State Police were assisted by members of the Tillamook County Sheriff's Department,
Tillamook Police Department, O.D.O.T. and Tillamook Fire/Rescue personnel.
Highway 6 was closed for several hours during the investigation.
