Inmate Access to Telephones
Inmates use telephones that are located throughout the jail housing units to place outgoing calls. Each housing unit has specific rules concerning the locations of telephones, hours of use, and the length of calls allowed. The basic rules are:

• Inmates have access to telephones during the day time, depending on classification
• Inmates cannot receive telephone calls
• Jail staff will not relay messages
• Inmates may place normal collect calls (subject to fees by your phone service provider) or they may use the Intelmate prepaid phone account service
• Inmates are not allowed to make non-typical collect calls, 3-way calls, or unwanted calls
• Inmates using a prepaid phone account may receive voice mail messages
• Phone calls, except for those made to the inmate’s attorney and verified clergy members, are recorded

Prepaid Phone Accounts
The Tillamook County Jail uses an outside telephone service provider called Intelmate. Intelmate offers prepaid phone accounts. An account can be set up for a specific phone number or a specific inmate. Inmate prepaid accounts allow an inmate to place collect calls to any unblocked phone number. Phone number prepaid accounts allow inmates to call one phone number, as long as that number is not blocked.

Local Prepaid Calls	$2.60 for 1 to 15 minutes
Long Distance Collect Calls in Oregon	$1.81 plus $0.11 to $0.52 per minute for 15 minute call
Long Distance Prepaid Calls in Oregon	$1.81 plus $0.11 to $0.52 per minute for 15 minute call
Interstate Collect Calls	$4.49 plus $0.74 per minute for 15 minute call
Interstate Prepaid Calls	$4.49 plus $0.74 per minute for 15 minutes call

Prepaid Accounts
Citizens may purchase prepaid phone services using the kiosks located in the public areas at the Tillamook County Sheriff’s Office, by calling 1(866)516-0115, or online through Intelmate Customer Service. (There may be fees associated with contacting Intelmate customer service by phone or online.)

Rejecting or Blocking Calls from Inmates
If you receive a call from an inmate, you will be given the option of accepting the call, hanging up, blocking all calls from the inmate, or blocking all calls from any inmates in the Tillamook County Jail. Simply follow the phone prompts during the call.

Please remember that the Tillamook County Jail does not administer the Intelmate phone system. If you have questions about the service, prepaid accounts, or issues concerning phone number blocking, you must contact Intelmate Customer Service at 1(866)516-0115 or online at www.intelmate.com.

Notice of New Jail Phone Service Provider Effective August 26, 2009, a new vendor is providing all Tillamook County Jail phone services, Pinnacle (the Intelmate system).
