Two Sergeants and nine Deputies generally patrol in the unincorporated areas of the County, however the Sheriff's Office has jurisdiction to act in any area of the County. Calls to the County 9-1-1 Center for service within the boundaries of a city are usually routed to city police departments. The County contracts with Tillamook Police for Dog Control Services. Included in Patrol is one Motorcycle Deputy and one Drug (vacant) Recoginiton Expert (DRE).
We rely on OSP for DRE at this time.

Search & Rescue
The Search and Rescue Team (SAR) is comprised of 60 trained volunteers whom specialize in all aspects of search and rescue that includes: Search Techniques, Land Navigation, Man Tracking, Rescue and Recovery, and First-Aid. An overhead team trained in incident command systems, command post operations, and search management directs searches in the field. SAR Website.

Detectives
This unit is staffed with one Sergeant and three Deputies. They investigate major crimes, narcotic offenses, child abuse (CAMI), and sex crimes, and crimes by inmates in Jail.
