Civil Division

The Civil Division is responsible for carrying out the duties imposed and mandated by the Sheriff as an officer of the Court system, and as required by law. The division fulfills these responsibilities as it pertains to Forcible Entry and Detainer (FED) actions, Garnishment, Abuse Prevention Restraining Orders, Extraordinary Writs, Notices, Small Claims, Writs of Execution, Property Sales, and Criminal, Juvenile and Civil Subpoenas.

Oregon Statute 21.410 require fees to be charged as follows:

Civil Actions and proceedings
First person                               $36
Two persons at same address                $36
Two persons at two addresses               $72 ($36/per person)
Three persons at same address              $60 ($20/per person)
Four persons at same address               $80 ($20/per person)

Mileage (for travel in excess of
75 miles round-trip from Courthouse
to service location):                      $40

Writ of Garnishment                        $25

FED (Eviction)
One or Two persons at same address         $106
Three persons at same address              $130
Four persons at same address               $150

Other Enforcement Process
(Writ of Execution, Order of Assistance,
Claim & Delivery, etc):                    $70

Conveyance of real property
(Sheriff's Deed):                          $30

FEES ARE DUE AT TIME PAPERS ARE SUBMITTED FOR SERVICE.

THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR THE SERVICE OF RESTRAINING ORDERS.

The Civil Department is open Monday thru Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm (Closed for Lunch from 12:00pm to 1:00pm).
