Civil Division

The Civil Division is responsible for carrying out the duties imposed and mandated by the Sheriff as an officer of the Court system, and as required by law. The division fulfills these responsibilities as it pertains to Forcible Entry and Detainer (FED) actions, Garnishment, Abuse Prevention Restraining Orders, Extraordinary Writs, Notices, Small Claims, Writs of Execution, Property Sales, and Criminal, Juvenile and Civil Subpoenas.

Oregon Statutes require fees to be charged as follows:

Civil Actions and proceedings
1st two persons at same address            $28.00
Three or more persons at same address      $15.00/per person
Same case-two different addresses          $28.00/per address

Writ of Garnishment                        $15.00

FED - 2 persons                            $28.00
 Three or more persons                     $15.00/per person

Writs of Execution FED                     $47.00/service of writ
                                           $28.00/service of Eviction Notice
                                           ------
                                           $75.00 Total

Notice of Restitution                      $28.00
 Three or more persons                     $15.00/per person

Certificate of Sale
Sheriff's Deed/Sale of Real Property       $15.00

FEES ARE DUE AT TIME PAPERS ARE SUBMITTED FOR SERVICE.

THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR THE SERVICE OF RESTRAINING ORDERS.

The Civil Department is open Monday thru Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm (Closed for Lunch from 12:00pm to 1:00pm).
